Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that he was ready to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but warned that if attempts to negotiate failed, it could mean a fight between the two countries would lead to “World War III.”
“I am ready to negotiate with him. I’ve been ready for the last two years. And I don’t think we can end this war without negotiations, “Zelenski told CNN.
The Ukrainian president said that if there is a one percent chance of stopping that “war”, they should use that chance.
“We have to do it. We are losing people every day, innocent people on the ground, “he said.
Zelenski said that Russian forces came, as he said, to exterminate and kill them, and that Ukraine must show that it is worthy of its people and army.
“Unfortunately, our dignity will not save lives. So, I think we have to use any format, every chance to have the opportunity to negotiate, the opportunity to talk to Putin, “said the Ukrainian president.
