New studies show that the stress hormone, cortisol, reaches high levels when we wake up, so drinking an early coffee increases it more and makes us feel bad. So experts estimate that the best time to drink your favorite drink is between 9:30 am and 11:00 am.
Nutritionist Amanda Maucere said: “Although there hasn’t been much human research on the interaction between coffee, cortisol and heart rate, we know a lot about each individually. Therefore it is good to wait a little before drinking the first cup of coffee in the morning.’
Meanwhile, drinking coffee half an hour before exercise is the best time to get good adrenaline results, according to a review of dozens of studies by the US-based International Sports Nutrition Association.
