Young scientists of the RA National Academy of Sciences became prize winners of the “Science without Borders” forum of young scientists of the CIS member states. The forum was held at Lobachevsky State University in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. It is part of a big project dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2024.
Armenia represented at the forum with a delegation of 21 people. Young scientists from the institutes of the RA National Academy of Sciences made presentations in the “Artificial Intelligence”, “New Materials”, “Comfortable Environment”, “Healthy Generation”, “Food Security”, “Heritage Preservation” and “Molecular Engineering” sections of the forum.
Based on the results of the sections, the organizing committee of the forum decided the winners of the first, second and third places in each section. Five of the thirty prize winners are young scientists of RA NAS system institutes. The first prize was awarded to RA NAS M. Astghik Soghoyan from the Abeghyan Institute of Literature (“Heritage Preservation” section), Shushanik Dashyan from the Scientific and Technological Center of Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry of the RA NAS (“Molecular Engineering” section) and Mikael Karapetyan from the Institute of Molecular Biology of the RA NAS (“Healthy Generation” section). The RA NAS M. was awarded the second prize. Julia Yeganyan from the Manvelyan Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry (“New Materials” section). The RA NAS L. was awarded the third prize. Vahan Grigoryan from the Institute of Physiology named after Orbelu (“Healthy Generation” section).
384 scientists from CIS member states – Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, as well as from non-CIS member states – Iran, India, China, Montenegro, Libya – participated in the forum. Forum participants made 250 scientific reports.
The organizers of the forum are the Russian Academy of Sciences, the CIS Executive Committee, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Lobachevsky University and the “Skolkovo” Foundation.
