©AfreePress-(Lomé, December 20, 2021)- Meeting on Monday, December 20, 2021 in Lomé, the Disciplinary Committee of the Togolese Football Federation (FTF) took a first sanction following the incidents that occurred during the match between Semassi of Sokodé in Kakadl of Douflegou.

According to the press release that sanctioned the work of this meeting, it was decided to “suspend the Sokodé municipal stadium until a final decision is made” and “inflict matches behind closed doors to be played outside on Semassi FC on the basis of match officials’ reports.

The consequence of this decision is that all clubs (first and second divisions) in the city will no longer play home games until further notice.

“Semassi’s home games will take place behind closed doors in Atakpame. The other formation of the locality, Unisport de Kouloundè will play at home at the municipal stadium of Kara… The FTF emergency committee has endorsed the proposal to reschedule second division matches on the available stadiums and instructed the organization of competitions in order to take into account the suspension of the municipal stadium of Sokodé”, underlines the press release.

The FTF then recalls that any act of violence will be “severely” sanctioned in accordance with the texts in force.
