Ermenihaber. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s spokesman Ibrahim Cullen called the Russian military operation in Ukraine a “war.” He wrote about it on his Twitter page.
“On the fourth day of the war in Ukraine, we reiterate the call of our President. “Russia must immediately stop its attacks and start negotiations on a ceasefire,” Cullen said, adding that “Turkey will do everything possible to ensure that the people of Ukraine do not suffer in this illegal war.”
Fahrettin Altun, head of the public relations department of the Turkish President’s Office, also made a note on the subject.
He also described the operation as a “war”, adding that Turkey had the right to prevent warships from crossing the Bosphorus under the Montreux Convention.
