A serious incident occurred on the coast of Syria, over 30 migrants died after the boat they were traveling in sank.
According to foreign media, it is known that the people who managed to survive this tragedy are receiving the necessary help near a hospital in the southern city of Syria, Tartus.
The migrants were suspected of having left northern Lebanon for Europe earlier this week.
Officials said the boat was carrying between 120 and 150 people from Minyeh, near the Lebanese port city of Tripoli.
The BBC informs that the Lebanese army rescued about 55 people, while the operation is taking place in challenging conditions.
This is not the first tragedy since not more than 3 weeks ago, six people, including children, lost their lives when a boat carrying migrants from Lebanon to Europe sank off the coast of Turkey.
