Tourists in Russia will receive a compensation of 5-15 thousand rubles
Tourists who decide to spend their vacation in Russia will receive a compensation of 5 to 15 thousand rubles for the cost of travel packages. TASS-The statement came from Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during his presentation of the report on the government’s activities in the State Duma.
“The amount returned to tourists will be from five to fifteen thousand rubles, depending on the package,” he said, noting that a total of 15 billion rubles will be allocated for it. “This amount will be used to partially reimburse the expenses of people who, by the end of this year, decide to rest in the regions of Russia, whose list” Rostourism “has already made,” he added.
The Russian Prime Minister considered tourism one of the promising spheres. According to him, a number of large-scale events have contributed to its development, including the 2018 FIFA World Cup. “It was a holiday for millions of people from all over the world. “I am convinced that many of them have fallen in love with a bright, hospitable Russia, which is different from the stereotypes in the world,” he said.
The Russian Prime Minister noted that the sphere of tourism is in a difficult situation, it is necessary not only to support it, but also to provide conditions for dynamic development, including by opening new opportunities for domestic tourism. Mishustin reminded that tour operators have already been given subsidies of about 3.5 billion rubles.
He noted the good prospects for ecotourism. According to Mishustin, last year eight national parks were selected for the installation of tourism infrastructure, and five special protected areas were created. “We hope that by developing this field, we will teach people to be careful with nature,” said the Prime Minister.
He assured that the Russian government will continue to work to create an effective system for unloading cities from solid household waste.
