Mayor Pablo Mirolo led the opening of tender envelopes for the comprehensive renovation work of the medium and long-distance Bus Terminal in the city of La Banda, which will include building improvements, spaces of greater comfort and safety for all passengers.
Public Tender No. 19/2022 called for two submitted proposals that will be evaluated by the members of the award commission, made up of representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance; Municipal Notary; Legal Affairs and Municipal Prosecutor’s Office, which will announce what has been resolved in the coming days.
Also present during the opening ceremony were Deputy Mayor Roger Nediani; the secretary of Public Works, Planning and Urban Development, Cristian Alzamora, and the municipal notary public María Laura Tula Rizo.
On the occasion, Mirolo stated: “We are happy to put into operation this important project of a work that will be historic for all bandeños since it is an emblematic place that is the gateway to and from the city, which will be totally renovated. It was a pending debt of a promise made by the Ministry of Transport of the Nation that will allow us to optimize the services offered to passengers in terms of comfort and safety”.
He added: “We are proud to be able to publicize the execution of this work that will complement the renovation work that is being carried out at the La Banda Train Station, which is the inescapable postcard of the city and the province and is a contribution and service more to the train passengers who arrive every week”.
Finally, the secretary of Public Works, Planning and Urban Development, Cristian Alzamora, indicated: “Once the commission defines the award of the work, the execution of the same will begin, which will have an estimated completion plate of 5 months. The work will include the installation of new toilets, new ticket offices, new entrances, offices where different municipal areas will provide assistance to travelers, in addition, a new cover will be put on the platforms, which will also be expanded.
