If there is one editor who came with suitcases heavy with announcements for the 2022 edition of EVO, it is SNK: its latest baby The King of Fighters 15 has been graced with a string of novelties planned for the current of this year, but also 2023, with what to make the crowd of delirious fans scream – and for good reason. The versus fighting released last February gave a preview of its second season of content, but also unveiled the last team of Team Pass 2.
Open House in The King of Fighters 15
The start of the festivities was launched yesterday, with the arrival of the Team Awakened Orochi composed of Orochi Yashiro, Orochi Shermie and Orochi Chris, already available for purchase. If this sibling comes straight from King of Fighters 97′, the next DLC team clearly has nothing to do with this saga: Team Samurai invites a trio of characters straight from Samurai Shodown, for an amazing crossover. Haohmaru, Nakoruru and Darli Dagger will come to fight weapons in hand with the fighters of The King of Fighters 15 starting this fall 2022.
The arrival of Haohmaru alongside Terry Bogard (Fatal Fury), Kyo Kusanagi (The King of Fighters 94′) and Ryo Sakazaki (Art of Fighting) make KOF15 one of the few versus fighting to feature the quartet of franchise stars SNKan alignment of planets not seen since Neo Geo Battle Coliseum in 2005.
Content Season 2 won’t arrive until 2023, and will be ushered in by the arrival of Shingo Yabuki and Kim Kaphwan, without further information as to their DLC release date. Finally, the crossplay will also show up next year, and will allow players PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store and Windows Store to stuff themselves without distinction of platforms. A luxury only reserved for PS4 and PS5 players at present.
