The Council of the Eurasian Economic Union instructed the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board to work with the EEU member states on proposals for mechanisms to ensure the stability of the internal markets of the EEU member states, including considering the possibility of joint measures to export certain agricultural products from the EEU.
To this end, the EEU countries were asked to submit to the EEC the estimated volumes of annual production, consumption, annual production, consumption of wheat, barley, corn, coconut oil, sugar, in order to form appropriate balances.
“The EEU is the largest net exporter of agricultural products, so we are not in short supply of vital goods. At the same time, the establishment of joint measures for non-tariff regulation will help stabilize the price situation in the domestic market, which is especially possible in the face of external factors, “said EEC Minister of Commerce Andrei Slepnyov.
