MONTEVIDEO (Uypress) – On the last business day of the Frente Amplio government and almost on the eve of the presidential change, the dollar exceeded the barrier of 40 pesos in some institutions.
The US currency maintained its upward trend and this Friday it was listed for sale at more than 40 pesos in various exchange houses.
In Banco República it was listed at $39.95, while, for example, in Banco Santander its offer for sale was $40.60, according to what was reported by Underlined.
According to The Observer There was no participation of the Central Bank in the operation this Friday and February closed with an increase of 4.3%, which is equivalent to a rise of 1.60 pesos in the month.
At the beginning of 2019, the dollar was somewhat above 32 pesos.
