Today, the Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesić, visited the beginning of the works on the reconstruction of the small, that is, children’s pool, as well as the works on the construction of the baby pool in the Sports and Recreation Center “Tašmajdan”.
Vesić said that 50 million dinars were set aside for the works, ie about 400,000 euros.
– This is the last phase of everything that was done on Tasmajdan, considering that the outdoor pool was completely renovated during the last year, and the stands were also reconstructed. Also, an indoor pool was arranged, as well as the interior of the SRC “Tasmajdan”. First of all, the reconstruction of the open stadium has been completed, which has been completely renovated, and the facade has been arranged, so the building is energy efficient. A few days ago, which is very important, the fuel oil boiler room was shut down and SRC “Tashmajdan” switched to the district heating system. From now on, both pools will be heated through the district heating system, so we will not have an environmental problem that has existed so far – said Vesić.
He reminded that the “Aleksandar Nikolić” hall, which belongs to the “Tasmajdan” SRC, was also renovated.
– The main hall and the ice hall have been arranged, and the space in front of the hall is currently being arranged. Also, a building permit should be issued these days, which will enable the start of works, after which the “Aleksandar Nikolić” hall will be connected to the district heating system. The existing boiler room in the “Aleksandar Nikolić” hall will be shut down, which will additionally contribute to better air quality. Everything was done with the money of the City of Belgrade, we did not ask for help from the state and that is the best indicator that the City and SRC “Tasmajdan” are doing well financially. The money that is earned is invested in the realization of such projects and solving existing problems – Vesić concluded.
The director of SRC “Tasmajdan”, Milan Novović, reminded that the reconstruction of the small pool and the construction of the pool for babies was announced two years ago.
– The small pool will get a completely different shape. There will be two pool depths of 110 and 60 centimeters, respectively. The baby pool will be only 25 centimeters deep and the water in it will surely be heated. I hope that my fellow citizens will enjoy our swimming pools during the upcoming summer season – said Novović and thanked the deputy mayor for the constant support that enabled the realization of all the mentioned projects.
