The Mayor of Belgrade prof. Dr. Zoran Radojicic attended today the ceremony of handing over the keys to the new apartments for members of the security services in the settlement of Nova Galenika.
The event was attended by the Minister of Defense Nebojsa Stefanovic, the Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs Darija Kisic, as well as the Assistant Mayor Andreja Mladenovic.

Today, the keys were taken over by the first 17 buyers, while in the coming days, a total of 375 apartments will be given to new owners from the ranks of the security services.
Radojicic thanked everyone who participated in the realization of this project and reminded that the cornerstone was laid two years ago, and that the works were completed on time.

– This is another example that harmonious work on the relationship between President Vučić – Government – local self-government leads to the successful implementation of projects. Also, this is an indicator that in peace and stability we can achieve the greatest goals. Congratulations to everyone who is taking over the keys to their apartments today. In the coming days, another 375 families will take over the keys, and by the beginning of the summer, a total of 1,000 apartments will be occupied. The entire project, which covers the entire territory of Serbia, involves the construction of nearly 7,000 apartments for members of the security services. I believe that work on the realization of projects like this will continue in the next period, because that is the only way for Serbia to progress – said Radojicic.

Minister of Defense Nebojsa Stefanovic said that handing over the keys to members of the security services was a special moment for him and reminded that President Vucic initiated this model of housing care in 2017.
– There will be 1,000 apartments in this settlement alone after the completion of all works. We had the opportunity to make sure that the apartments were well done, and the work was done by a domestic company. More than 80 percent of the material used was produced in domestic factories, which is proof that the Serbian economy was taken into account. Members of the security services are doing hard and responsible work and they deserved all this – said Stefanović.

The Minister of Labor, Employment, Social and Veterans Affairs, Darija Kisić, reminded that two years ago, there was only a meadow on the site of the current modern settlement.
– Even in the worst moments of the pandemic, the works did not stop. Today, after Kraljevo, Kruševac, Sremska Mitrovica, Novi Sad and Vranje, members of the security services receive the keys to apartments in Belgrade – said Minister Darija Kisić.
