Otto John, the former Skanderbeg player, was released from prison a few days ago. The reason for the arrest of the footballer of Nigerian origin was, “Trafficking in people” and “Sexual services to the trafficked victim”. The 24-year-old was recently part of the Kosovo Super League with the Prishtina team.
The serious charges that have been addressed to the player forced him to stay in custody for 30 days, but then this figure increased to 90 days. The Nigerian striker, after being released from prison, preferred to continue his career as a footballer with the Dukagjini team in the Kosovo Super League.
John records 150 games and 62 goals scored in his career. These figures include both the Super Leagues of Kosovo and Albania, as well as appearances in Europe with Albanian teams.
