On October 5, the 9th international industrial exhibition “EXPO-RUSSIA ARMENIA 2022” and the 7th Yerevan Business Forum will be opened in Yerevan. On this occasion, on October 3, the “Armenpress” agency hosted a meeting with Anna Donchenko, the trade representative of the Russian Federation in Armenia, and the “Zarubezh Expo” company. the press conference of Anatoly Nikolaev, director of international cooperation, Svetlana Zabelina, head of exhibition projects of “Zarubezh Expo” company.
Svetlana Zabelina informed that the exhibition has been held since 2008, usually it was held every 2 years, but due to known incidents, the last exhibition was held in 2018. It was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Russian Federation, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia, the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Republic of Armenia, parliamentary and business circles, as well as the Chamber of Industry of the Republic of Armenia and the Chamber of Industry of Moscow, “Multi Group” concern, With the support of “Zarubezh Expo” company.
According to Svetlana Zabelina, the expo has quite a large coverage, almost all sectors are represented, from heavy industry – atomic energy, oil and gas industry, from metallurgy to science, education and healthcare.
According to Anatoly Nikolaev, this year the exhibition is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Russia. Considering the fact that the United Nations has declared 2022 as the year of basic science, the fields of science and education were given special importance in the exhibition.
According to him, the economic cooperation between our two countries has provided serious results, recording a trade turnover of about one billion dollars. “Statistics show that after such expos, trade and industrial turnover increases and positive indicators are recorded. If I’m not mistaken, there are more than 200 companies with Russian capital operating in Armenia, 40 of which are large organizations, which will also be represented at the expo.”
This year, the expo will also be presented on an online platform, various meetings will be organized during the forum, with the participation of both business circles and representatives of state administration bodies.
