East Thursday March 24 commemorates the National Day of Remembrance for Truth and Justice to remember the victims of the last military dictatorship.
According to the calendar established by the Government, it is an “immovable” holiday and will not have a “bridge” to extend the weekend.
Despite the fact that this holiday falls on a Thursday, the holiday will not be passed for Friday the 25th, according to the National Government, and it does not plan to transform Friday the 25th as a bridge holiday to form a long weekend of four days.
During national holidays, the legal regulations on Sunday rest apply, according to the Labor Contract Law. That is why, in case of providing service during those days, the worker will receive the normal remuneration of the working days plus an equal amount.
It is necessary to remember that every March 24th, the National Day of Memory for Truth and Justice is commemorated in our country to remember the victims of the last military dictatorship, process that began March 24, 1976 through a coup who deposed the constitutional government of Maria Estela Martinez de Peron.
In this way, this 2022 will have four long weekends, of four days each, which will contribute to promoting getaways and, with them, the reactivation of tourist activity.
