Russia has given the consent of the US ambassador to Armenia, Lynn Tracy, whom the US wants to appoint as the US ambassador to Russia.
According to “Armenpress”, as reported by “Ria Novosti”, this was stated by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov.
Earlier, the White House announced that US President Joe Biden nominated Lynn Tracy, who heads the US diplomatic mission in Armenia, to the post of US ambassador to Russia. “Yes, they gave the agreement. The point is that they applied for his agreement some time ago,” said Ryabkov.
He also added that it is necessary to wait to see how the process of confirming Lin Tracy’s candidacy in the US Senate will go.
