Ahead of the start of the final round of the “RA Prime Minister’s Cup” amateur table tennis tournament, the RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Karen Giloyan visited the Ara Manukyan Children and Youth Sports School in Charentsavan.
The Deputy Minister of Education and Science was accompanied by the Deputy Head of the Sports Policy Department David Baghumyan.
The final round of the amateur table tennis tournament will take place on March 18 և 19. The semi-finals and finals will take place on the second day of the competition. He discussed some organizational issues with the director of the Manukyan Children and Youth Sports School, Gagik Movsisyan, and inquired about the preparations for the tournament.
10 brand new tables have already been installed in the renovated, bright hall of the sports school. Their number will increase by 10, after the end of the tournament they will be transferred to the sports schools of Yerevan, the regions of Armenia and Artsakh. The property was provided by “Magnolia Comfort” LLC.
It should be reminded that 1594 people took part in the regional round of the “RA Prime Minister’s Cup” amateur table tennis tournament, and in the final rounds each region will be represented in 12 age groups of men and women with 12 participants. Representatives of 14 embassies operating in Armenia, including ambassadors, will also take part in the final tournament.
The participants who took the 1st to 20th places in the two age groups will receive cash prizes, certificates of the relevant category of the RA Ministry of Education and Science, and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place participants (men and women) will be awarded with cups and medals. In total, 80 participants will receive cash prizes.
1st place – 1,000,000 AMD,
2nd place – 600,000 AMD,
3rd place – 400,000 AMD,
4th place – 150,000 AMD,
5th place – 100,000 AMD,
6th-10th places – 75,000 AMD
11th-20th places – 50,000 AMD.
Taxes, duties և mandatory fees are not included.
The representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science paid a working visit to Shoghakat (former Shorzha) community of Gegharkunik region, on the public beach of which the “Prime Minister’s Cup” amateur swimming tournament will be held in July.
The issues related to the holding of this tournament were discussed with the head of Shoghakat community Suliko Shushanyan.
