The famous actress Geena Davis once had quite aggressive Jack Nicholson in front of her, and she managed to soften the situation thanks to what Dustin Hoffman told her, she revealed recently.
Geena Davis started her career as a model, and then got her first movie role Tootsie, where she was accompanied by the already experienced Dustin Hoffman. Luckily, he gave her a piece of advice worth her weight in gold, which she put to good use not long after.
Namely, after this film, her agent scheduled various castings, dinners and introductions for her, and at one point she met Jack Nicholson, with whom they had dinner several days in a row. She was told to call Nicholson on a private number, which sounded exciting to the rising star, but all she heard on the other end of the phone was, “Hi Gina, when is it finally going to happen?”.
She says that she is guilty of not realizing what it was about earlier, but that she quickly got the hang of it and said: “Jack, I would like to.” You’re very attractive, but I’m afraid we’ll be working together at some point in the future, and I wouldn’t want it to spoil the sexual tension between us.”
That, of course, was Dustin Hoffman’s advice, and Nicholson replied, “Oh man, where did you get that?” and dropped further suggestions. Interestingly, Hoffman was later accused of sexually harassing two minors, but nothing was proven.
Geena Davis herself recently joined the many accusations against Bill Murray, who she says tried to use some kind of massager on her, and after she refused, later behaved very unpleasantly towards her during the filming of the movie Quick Change. That same Bill Murray defended the aforementioned Dustin Hoffman when he was accused.
