The 2024 European Championship has been decided to take place in France, while there is still no decision for 2028.
This competition looks set to travel to the British Peninsula. The nominations for the event are made official on Wednesday, but it seems that Great Britain and Ireland will be the only alternative before the UEFA Executive Committee.
According to “The Times”, UEFA seems to see with a very good eye the organization of the 2028 event from England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland and is preparing to entrust it on April 7, when the final decision is made.
An attitude that Turkey, another country that sought to develop this prestigious activity, has also learned. Thus, the Turkish side is thinking of withdrawing and competing for the next edition, that of 2032, where the strongest competitor will be Italy.
The Italians are looking forward to organizing another major event and hope to have some more modern stadiums by then, while Turkey has renovated some of the facilities in the country since it requested the organization of Euro 2016.
