When he is now one step away from regaining the primary, Andrea Fanti (Luca Argentero) is forced to make a painful confession in front of the whole ward. As doctors try to save the life of a young soldier with unexplained symptoms, Agnes (Sara Lazzaro) begins to investigate the work of Umberto Caruso (Massimo Rigo). But when a very aggressive bacterium spreads in the ward, all doctors have to change their priorities.
The consequences of Fanti’s decisive choice
In the second and final episode, entitled Mutations, the doctors are locked in a forced quarantine in the ward and are engaged in a fight against time to stop a multidrug-resistant bacterium that has infected them all. Doc proposes a drastic and risky solution and it will be Giulia (Matilde Gioli) to have to decide whether to trust him and face the consequences of his choice. Meanwhile, Agnes and Cecilia (Alice Arcuri) are at a crossroads: collaborate to help Andrea or let their divisions prevail.
