The state-owned electricity company UTE commissioned a satisfaction survey for large customers from the Regional Energy Integration Commission (CIER), a non-governmental organization based in Montevideo “that brings together companies and organizations from the energy sector of the Member Countries, as well as also to the Associate Members and Related Entities”, as described by the entity itself in your website.

“This survey is carried out within the framework of the agreement with CIER, for the satisfaction of large customers in the electricity sector, for the consumers of the UTE company,” says the statement.

In pesos, the amount to be paid is $1,020,809.00 and the payment method will be 50% in advance and 50% at the time of final delivery of the project results.

In November 2021, the Commission awarded UTE as the electricity company with the best perception by its customers in the region, with 83% favorable opinions among 800 people surveyed.

What is the CIER?

CIER says that its objective is “to promote and favor the integration of the Energy Sector in the region through mutual cooperation among its partners” and that its mission is to emphasize the “interconnection of electrical systems and commercial exchanges, cooperation among its associates, knowledge management and the promotion of sustainable businesses”.

CIER’s associates are 5 holding companies, 14 governments and ministries, 13 market operators and administrators, 14 regulatory agencies, 2 marketers, 5 associations and 13 units and institutes. They are all in these countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay.
