MONTEVIDEO (Uypress)– This Saturday, July 24, 162 positives for covid-19 were detected out of a total of 8,164 tests, 8 deaths were confirmed, 2,921 people have the disease, 85 of them in intensive care.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 8,184 tests were carried out today and 162 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.
Of the 162 new cases, 84 from Montevideo, 21 from Canelones, 9 from Maldonado, 8 from Paysandú, 7 from Cerro Largo, 7 from San José, 6 from Colonia, 4 from Salto, 4 from Tacuarembó, 2 from Florida, 2 from Río Negro, 2 from Rivera, 2 from Rocha, 2 from Treinta y Tres, 1 from Artigas and 1 from Soriano.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 3,007,693 tests have been processed and 380,311 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 371,463 have already recovered.
Today, 8 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (detailed table is attached). So far there are 5,927 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
There are currently 2,921 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 85 of them are in critical care centers.
Of the total confirmed positive cases, 8,857 correspond to health personnel. 8,774 of them have already recovered, 55 are suffering from the disease and 28 have died.
To date, active cases are registered in the 19 departments.
The total number of confirmed positive cases as of yesterday was 380,151. Today 162 new cases are reported and a total of 380,311 confirmed positive cases. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 2 cases were eliminated.
