MONTEVIDEO (Uypress) – This Friday, 6,175 tests were carried out, of which 55 were positive for covid-19. There are 3,947 active cases, of which 33 are hospitalized in critical care centers. Two deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed on the day.
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), this Friday, April 8, 6,175 tests were carried out and 555 new cases of covid-19 were detected, of which 288 are from Montevideo, 73 from Canelones, 39 from Colonia, 27 from Cerro Largo, 19 from San José, 17 from Maldonado, 16 from Durazno, 12 from Flores, 11 from Lavalleja, 11 from Rivera, 10 from Florida, 9 from Salto, 6 from Treinta y Tres, 4 from Rocha, 4 from Tacuarembó, 3 from Paysandú, 3 from Río Negro, 2 from Soriano and 1 from Artigas.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 6,059,168 tests have been processed and 893,009 positive cases of coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 881,881 have already recovered.
This Friday, two deaths diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 were recorded in our country. So far there are 7,181 deaths with a diagnosis of covid-19 in Uruguay.
There are currently 3,947 active cases and 33 people are in critical care centers.
To date, all departments register active cases.
