MONTEVIDEO (Uypress) – This Tuesday, 9,187 tests were carried out, of which 1,752 were positive for covid-19. There are 12,914 active cases, of which 93 are in critical care centers. On this day, eight deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed.
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), this Tuesday, March 8, 9,187 tests were carried out and 1,752 new cases of covid-19 were detected, of which 843 are from Montevideo, 240 from Canelones, 91 from Colonia, 67 from Maldonado, 62 from San José, 54 from Treinta y Tres, 51 from Lavalleja, 49 from Florida, 38 from Cerro Largo, 37 from Rocha, 37 from Tacuarembo, 31 from Rivera, 27 from Durazno, 27 from Paysandú, 27 from Salto, 23 from Artigas, 23 from Río Negro, 18 from Soriano and 7 from Flores.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 5,775,849 tests have been processed and 857,635 positive cases of coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 837,662 have already recovered.
This Tuesday, eight deaths diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 were registered in our country. So far there are 7,059 deaths with a diagnosis of covid-19 in Uruguay.
There are currently 12,914 active cases and 93 people are in critical care centers.
To date, all departments register active cases.
