Coronavirus: 1,508 new cases, 104 people in critical care and five deaths diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2

MONTEVIDEO (Uypress) – This Monday, 7,242 tests were carried out, of which 1,508 were positive for covid-19. There are 13,427 active cases, of which 104 are hospitalized in critical care centers. On this day, five deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed.

According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), this Monday, January 7, 7,242 tests were carried out and 1,508 new cases of covid-19 were detected, of which 702 are from Montevideo, 209 from Canelones, 93 from Colonia, 68 from Maldonado, 56 from Salto, 44 ​​from Paysandú, 44 from San José, 37 from Florida, 35 from Artigas, 35 from Lavalleja, 34 from Rivera, 31 from Rocha, 26 from Tacuarembo, 24 from Treinta y Tres , 17 from Durazno, 17 from Río Negro, 16 from Soriano, 13 from Cerro Largo and 7 from Flores.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 5,766,662 tests have been processed and 855,883 positive cases of coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 835,405 have already recovered.

On this day, five deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were recorded in our country. So far there are 7,051 deaths with a diagnosis of covid-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 13,427 active cases and 104 people are in critical care centers.
