B&B Italia, founded in 1966 with the aim of creating innovative design pieces in step with the times but at the same time iconic and recognizable, participates as an interior designer at TheOne Milano fair, scheduled for the days between 13 and 15 March 2022, and which brings together a pole of Italian excellence exhibited in the same days also at Micam, Mipel and Homi Fashion & Jewels.
State-of-the-art industrial know-how and Italian-guaranteed production as regards raw materials and quality of workmanship become a perfect complement to the concept of the current fairs, which this season focuses mainly on sustainability.
Guests and operators of TheOne Milano, a cosmopolitan salon that gathers 90 brands from various countries around the world, will be able to sit on the comfortable puffs of the “Tramae” collection by B&B Italia, located in special areas, for example next to the living room that presents the secrets of the embroiderer, the tailor, the loom weaver, the shoemaker, the leather worker, the milliner, the furrier, the optician, the engraver and the lace maker, crafts brought back to the fair with the counter and the tools of their work.
The set up is linked to the creativity of Margherita Pallian internationally renowned set designer who has signed important theatrical performances in Italy and around the world, some internationally acclaimed exhibitions and visionary installations alongside sector events.
«A story is needed around the product and the public must feel in a space that has its own atmosphere, a beautiful place that stimulates ideas. The fairs, from appointments for insiders, must be the scenario of opening towards the world of production to tell and calmly observe the beauty of the supply chain “he declares Margherita Palli. «This is why I wanted to include seats in this space. A place to sit and admire masterpieces, like in a museum in front of paintings. A place to sit down to talk and discuss. A place to simply rest ».
The “Tramae” seats of B&B Italia are designed by unPIZZO, a design studio with a small artisan workshop specialized in exclusive weaving, created in 2014 by Agnes Selva And Bettina Colombowhich debuted at the 2016 Salone del Mobile and began important collaborations thanks to the great potential of their work.
Their three-dimensional hexagonal shape, with the edges that are rounded until they are lost, makes them versatile in use and welcoming for those who want to stop and think, talk or simply rest.
“Slow Fashion” is in fact the manifesto of these current fairs which resume the usual activities but with a different attitude, also on the observation of what has always been valuable.
In collaboration with Confartigianato and with the support of MAECI and ICE / ITA, the international public will be able to observe, without necessarily counting seasonality and passing trends, the best of women’s fashion and an excursus on outerwear and men’s sportswear that identifies and brings together beautiful, well-made garments that are meant to last in wardrobes.
