The hacker group Anonymous has declared cyber war on the Russian government. Representatives of the anonymous community informed about this on Twitter.
“The Anonymous team is officially declaring war on Russia,” the group said in a statement, adding the hashtag #Ukraine.
The hackers have already claimed responsibility for the attack on the website of Russia Today TV channel. The websites of the Kremlin, the Russian government and the parliament have also had problems with access since yesterday.
The National Co-ordination Center for Computer Incidents under the Russian Federal Security Service has announced a critical level of threat of cyber-attacks on Russian information resources.
“Attacks may be aimed at disrupting the activities of potential information resources and services, damaging its reputation, including for political purposes,” the statement said.
