©AfreePress-(Lomé, January 26, 2022)- A delegation from the Commission of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), led by its President, Abdoulaye Diop presented, Tuesday January 25, 2022, to the Prime Minister, Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé, the conclusions of the work of the 7th annual review of political reforms, programs and projects of UEMOA in Togo.
It was during a meeting held at the seat of government in Lomé, the AfreePress news agency learned.
“The review made it possible to note that Togo is, and remains, a successful country in terms of the implementation of policies, reforms and the execution of WAEMU programs. This year, we come out with an execution rate that is higher than 78%, which is remarkable”, declared at the end of the meeting, the President of the WAEMU Commission.
The Chairman of the commission hailed the efforts made by the government to enable the populations to be the first beneficiaries of the reforms of the West African institution.
“From the point of view of the results of the review, the commission congratulates the government for the reforms and the significant achievements made in terms of economic governance and convergence, public procurement, the fight against money laundering, multilateral surveillance, public finances”, he said. he continued.
For her part, the Head of Government reiterated Togo’s commitment to continue its actions for integration, while encouraging the institution to more concrete actions for the benefit of the people.
