The Táchira Educational Zone (ZET), under the direction of Professor Berzabeth Gandica, fulfilling the professional improvement of the staff, carries out a Joropo Workshop, with the assistance of 50 Culture teachers and students from various municipalities of the entity.
Activity that takes place in the facilities of the Bustamante Bolivarian School, in the La Ermita sector, San Cristóbal municipality.
Hand in hand with the facilitator, Professor Miguel Blanco, the participants expand their knowledge about the history of the joropo and the rhythm that identifies it… It is a dance that corresponds to Venezuelan folklore.
The improvement on the matter, translates into a strengthened education aimed at schoolchildren, where it is added to the recognition of the National Identity.
Since 2014, the Joropo has been part of the country’s Cultural Heritage (ZET Press).
